In two appearances with the U16 Girls National Team this season, Joyelle Washington has delivered a team-best-tying two goals. Now, this attacking player from Michigan is taking her talents to USC ... in a couple years.

The Class of 2020 prospect from Michigan who plays for the Michigan Hawks has been involved in three U16 National Team events this season.

"I chose USC because the coaching staff is amazing, the players are great, and the education is phenomenal," Washington said. "It felt like the best fit to help me move towards a positive direction for my future. ... As a college player I would love to be a part of another national championship and continue to work hard for my teammates and help them get better as individuals every day.

"What I like about USC soccer program is that they are hard working and the growth they've had over the past couple of years they continue to improve and grow as a team," she said. "What I liked about the school is even though it's so far away from home, it still felt like home for me."
